Welcome Sally Hooper

Designworks welcomes Sally Hooper to new leadership role in Christchurch

Sally Hooper has joined the Designworks team as Head of Commercial Management and New Business in Christchurch. Sally joins at a time of exciting opportunity and growth in Christchurch for Designworks

From Sven: “Christchurch is close to all our hearts at Designworks, and we’ve always been committed to being part of the rebuild and continued emergence of a vibrant city and creative community. Christchurch really presents a unique opportunity to bring our consumer centered integrated approach – the physical, digital, brand and content - to life with our client partners,”

“Sally really embodies the spirit of what is happening in the market. Energy, creativity and entrepreneurial guts that has seen her succeed not only in her previous roles but starting her own thriving business,” he said.

Sally’s appointment follows the arrival of Danielle Barclay last month as Designworks’ Group Head of Brand Experience. Sven sees Sally and Danielle combining to bring a fresh perspective to Christchurch clients wanting to go beyond traditional design or communications to create memorable, enduring brand experiences.

From Sally: “I’ve always really loved what Designworks is about, the thinking, the creativity and the partnership with clients. Their vision to create engaging 360 degree brand experiences is definitely what Christchurch needs and what many property developers, clients and brands are hungry for. I can’t wait to get stuck in with Danielle, Michael and the team.”

Sally brings 10 years’ experience in top creative agencies in New Zealand, on highly awarded clients and integrated projects including Boundary Road Brewery at Barnes Catmur and Friends, Driving Dogs for Mini/SPCA and Prime TV at Draft FCB.  Sally moved to Christchurch in 2014. During the past two years she was Senior Account Director at Novo and most recently Marketing Manager at Ballantynes. In 2014, with partner Sam Hooper, she started the successful Pot Sticker Dumpling Bars.
